Our Canvak® Cotton Canvas in Olive Drab is a time-tested water and mildew resistant fabric that's perfect for multipurpose tarps often used in industries like trucking and agriculture. The paraffin coating adds strength and durability making this fabric ideal for outdoor sporting and camping gear like backpacks and duffle bags, seat covers, duck blinds, tarps, etc. Canvak is one of the best fabrics available for making outdoor machinery covers. Canvak protects equipment like tanks, generators, oil field equipment and pumps. Canvak's breathability helps reduce rusting by significantly reducing condensation. Unlike synthetic fabrics, Cotton Canvak can stand up to extremely cold conditions without cracking or tearing. It is the "go to" fabric for vintage military tent and bag reproductions. Canvak Care Instructions
DO NOT USE DETERGENTS! DO NOT DRY CLEAN! We recommend using a hose to rinse any dirt and debris from your Canvak. If you need to remove dirty spots or stains, use a soft scrub brush. For stubborn spots, you can use a mild bar soap or saddle soap. Allow Canvak fabric to air dry.
A note about Canvak: You may notice a slight musty odor when you first remove your Canvak canvas from the package. This is normal! (It is the paraffin coating.) This lessens over time, however it may continue to be noticeable. If you have any concerns, please request a sample prior to your order.
