Ooh, here's a nice new color in our super-popular waxed canvas! This beautiful, warm shade of brown is called Pecan. And it's—hyperbole alert—destined for greatness. ;-)
Like all of our 10oz waxed canvas, this Pecan (brown) shade features a water-repellent finish of non-toxic, non-hazardous wax that helps it shed water and last longer. This Army Duck material is a true multipurpose fabric, and is constructed using a tight, plied yarn weave. This weave makes it strong and resistant to tearing.
Ever popular, our waxed canvas requires only minimum care to maintain its great 'look' and typically doesn't need to be washed. In almost all conditions including both hot and cold temperatures, you'll find this material just performs. Worried about sewing waxed? No need. We sew with it—and customers have told us many times, "it sews great!" It's a high-quality wax that won't transfer to other surfaces under typical use.

Wow, you look great...
One of the sought after aspects of waxed canvas is it's look. Similar to leather, develops a really cool look—it wears, it ages, it patinas over time. Regular use creates wrinkles and 'craze marks.' Not only is this expected—it's what gives waxed canvas its unique appearance. You could reduce the appearance of these marks with a hair dryer, but we say let 'em be! Most people prefer this vintage or 'worn' look you'll get in no other material.
